The Open Hands board has approved the beginning of a new savings group program in Guatemala. This program will be a partnership between Open Hands and Mennonite Air Missions. Lyndon Swarey and Darin Hershberger will travel to Guatemala from March 16–23 to launch the program there. They will hire a Guatemalan facilitator and train him to form savings groups. We will begin with savings groups in the Quiche and the Oratorio areas.
