Shamimu Biira Launches a Cosmetics Products Shop

As a member of the Divine Savings Group in Kampala, Uganda, Shamimu Biira decided to start a business. She borrowed $190, which she then added to her $150 savings and started a cosmetics products shop. She paid interest of $10 per month. In only six months, Shamimu Biira paid back the loan, including interest, and was left to enjoy the entire ownership of her business. She expects to earn a profit of about $40 per day. In the future, if Shamimu Biira decides to expand her business, she has the opportunity to borrow additional money from the savings group.
