  • New Mexico is among the 10 top states having the largest increase in its 65-and-over population
  • Santa Fe County's 65-and-over population rose by 44% from 1990-2000
  • This age group has increasing needs and faces declining government funding support

The Needs We Meet

  • Serve more than 10,000 people each year
  • More than 80% of clients classified as having very low income under federal guidelines

The Firsts We Have

  • Only non-profit adult day care center in Santa Fe County
  • Only home-safety assessment and services program in New Mexico outside
    of Albuquerque
  • Only comprehensive medical equipment loan program offered at no cost to
    everyone in Santa Fe County
  • Only organization offering a medication-management program which trains
    seniors and their caregivers on the safe, economical use of needed medications

The Awards We Have Received

  • Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce-Century Bank "Business Excellence Award"
    for a large nonprofit agency in 2003
  • New Mexico Area Agency on the Aging's (PSA II) first annual award for
    overall program performance in 2002
  • 2010 Finalist for the New Mexico Ethics in Business award

  • Adult Care Services is one of only three day care facilities in New Mexico with a registered
    nurse on staff
  • Adult Care Services has a 5:1 client-staff ratio and specialized programs for Alzheimer's
