How Do I Qualify?

The program is based on a family size to gross income ratio.Example: A family of two cannot earn more than $1375 per month. A family can receive financial assistance once per calendar year and only twice per lifetime [there must be at least 1 year between 1st and 2nd request for service].  Click here for current income eligibility guidelines.

How To Set Up An Appointment  Call our Appointment Coordinator directly at 428-2340 to set up an appointment. Appointments are booked in advance and are on a first come first served basis. 

Appointments for Santa Fe residents are held at our facility and appointments for Taos and Torrance counties residents will be held on location in Taos and Moriarty.We require that clients bring mandatory documentation to your appointment with our case manager.Please bring the following required documents to your appointment with our case manager.  Failure to bring these documents will only delay processing of your request.

• Client picture ID  (Drivers license, passport or state i.d.)
• Client’s Social Security card or printout from Social Security office
• Social Security card or printout from Social Security office with household members’ Social Security numbers
• Client’s proof of income

If employed – 4 most recent pay stubs or a notarized letter from employer(s

• If receiving social security or SSDI - a copy of award letter
• If self-employed - quarterly report used for tax reporting.
• Copy of the bill in question

Examples:

• rental agreement
• water bill, electric bill, etc.

How Soon Will I Receive Funds?

Funding is subject to verification and approval of your application . Once the intake interview is complete direct payment is usually made in an average of 4 to 5 business days. Payments will be sent directly to the billing vendor (bank, utility company, etc.)
